Rented properties in Donegal fail inspections
New figures from the Department of the Environment have revealed that an inspection of rented dwellings in Donegal resulted in a 100% failure rate last year.

New figures from the Department of the Environment have revealed that an inspection of rented dwellings in Donegal resulted in a 100% failure rate last year.

Of the 550 rented properties that were inspected, all failed to meet the necessary required standards.

Donegal County Council was one of four local authories in Ireland which retured a 100% failure rate along with Limerick City, Louth and Offaly.

Almost 18,000 inspections were carried out around the country and almost 60% of those dwellings failed to pass the inspection.
