Michael Gallagher’s Easter Weekend had an extra element of celebration after he won €64,000 on Saturday’s Winning Streak.
The native of Inver, who lives in London, found out he was going to be on the show through a phone call.
His Mum Anita had bought him a scratch card for him in Sheerin’s, Mountcharles: she regularly purchases tickets and put her children’s names on them.
Michael’s father, also called Michael, rang him to let him know his name had come up, and he would be appearing on RTÉ on Winning Streak on Saturday night.
Michael, who works in sales and promotion in Marks and Spencer in Hampstead Heath, considers himself to be a “shocking lucky person”.
Before the show, he said he hoped to win enough to help him start his own business.
