One of the main elements of the €8.3m Peace III Pettigo Tullyhommon Termon Project has been completed.
The Methodist Hall in Tullyhommon has been refurbished, including a number of improvements that will allow it to be used as a Youth Hub for the two border villages.
The completion of this phase of the project will be celebrated with a special reception on Thursday, December 5 at 1.30pm in the Methodist Hall.
Other aspects of the Termon Project include: a new building, the Termon Centre, which will house a multi purpose venue and playschool on the old community centre site; a riverside park and footbridge along both sides of the Termon River and a number of environmental improvements to enhance the appearance of both villages.
Funding of €8.3m was provided by the Special EU Programmes Body, under Measure 2.1, Creating Shared Public Spaces, of the PEACE III Programme 2007 - 2013. The project is also supported by Donegal County Council, Fermanagh District Council and ADOPT (Association for the Development of Pettigo and Tullyhommon).
