Donegal people who took part in eleven Centra Pink Walks in October are on target to raise €18,000 for the Irish Cancer Society’s Action Breast Cancer.

More than 600 people from all over the county pounded the pavements of their towns, villages and neighbourhoods in October, demonstrating tremendous community spirit and real support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The Centra stores who got their community walking for this great cause were: Joyce’s Centra, Clonmany: Diver’s Centra, Ardara; Rooney’s Centra, Donegal Town; Centra Moville; Boyce’s Centra, Carrigart; Boyce’s Centra, Falcarragh; Kelly’s Centra, Mountain Top, Letterkenny; McIntyre/McCosker Centra, Ballyshannon; Boyce’s Centra, Dunfanaghy; Hegarty’s Centra, Kilcar and Hegarty’s Centra Killybegs.

Almost 200 Centra stores nationwide hosted their own local walk, with 10,000 walkers raising a staggering €225,000 for the charity.
