Principal of Letterkenny school to retire
The principal of Woodland National School in Letterkenny, Kevin Caldwell, is to retire later this year.

The principal of Woodland National School in Letterkenny, Kevin Caldwell, is to retire later this year.

Mr. Caldwell has informed the school’s Board of Management and staff that he will be retiring on August 31st next.

A native of Donegal Town, he joined the teaching staff at the Letterkenny school in January 1979. He has been school principal since 2007 when he took over from Joe McNulty.

In a letter sent to parents and guardians this week, Mr. Caldwell said: “It has been a great pleasure to participate in the growth of Woodland NS and to work with the children of the community over those 35 years.”
