The landmark clock in the tower at Gallogley Jewellers in Ballyshannon is one strong wind away from fallling.
At 5.15 this evening, the Fire Service was alerted and two crews are currently at the scene in Castle Street.
“The face of the clock has split in two,” and eyewitness told the Democrat.
“The bottom section is being held up by the hour hand and the top section is being held up by the minute hand.”
A section of the footpath has been blocked off for safety but traffic is still flowing through the town.
