Members of the public are being urged to attend a public consultation day on a newly presented Raphoe Flood Risk Management Study on Thursday September 26. It will take place in the Cathedral Hall on Raphoe’s McBride St from 4pm to 8pm.

Members of the Stranorlar Electoral Area were updated on the study on Tuesday by Lorraine Arbuckle and Andrew Jackson, from RPS Engineering who compiled the study.

They outlined how they are willing to meet with individuals or groups on the day and asked that as many people as possible with concerns attend the consultation event.

Cllr Gerry Crawford said: “This has been long awaited in Raphoe. I can see it has moved on and is in the final stage.”

He added: “I urge people to come forward to bring their problems with them so they can be sorted.”
