Rossnowlagh’s Easkey Britton was chosen to speak at a recent Ted Talk in Dublin – which is an unprecedented achievement for one so young.

For those not familiar with these talks,TED is a global set of conferences based on the simple premise of “Ideas worth spreading and their power to change attitudes , lives and ultimately the world.”

It is one of the most prestigious events on global terms, a conference where Bill Gates has spoken and an oganisation which has recognised the contibutions to society by many – including Bill Clinton and Bono to name but a few.

Easkey’s talk was on the transformative power of surfing, how it can be used to bring about social change.
