With around 48,500 people in Ireland affected by this disease, Gluten Free Ireland have released figures examining the range of venues available for the sufferers.

The leading website for hospitality venues catering for gluten intolerance and Coeliac disease, has released figures profiling the best and the worst counties. Tipperary has been outlined as the worst offender with just under 400 people for every venue offering gluten free food. Michael Thompson from Gluten Free Ireland said, “With over nine hundred venues in our database, we have the largest directory of venues available for Ireland, North and South but when we examine the range of venues available by county we were shocked to find some counties are extremely poorly served.”
