A Donegal river bailiff has been threatened at his home by three armed and masked men in an incident linked to illegal salmon poaching.
The incident happened at the east Donegal home of the angling club bailiff in the last two weeks.
The man’s wife and three children were in the house when the three men called at around 10pm.
The three men came to his house and asked to speak to the man and he brought them to a shed at the back of his home.
It was only when they got to the shed that he noticed one of the men was holding a hand gun.
They then issued him with a threat that was linked to his role as a bailiff with an angling club.
