A major search operation in Inishowen has been called off this morning after Gardai confirmed they are no longer looking for a child feared drowned with a woman whose body was found at Dunaff Head.
Four lifeboats, a helicopter and shoreline search parties were involved in the four hour search search after the discovery of the woman’s body at around 5:30pm.
It had been thought a child was with her.
Both Gardai and the PSNI have confirmed that no family members of the young woman are missing.
It is understood that the woman, a native of Derry, had moved to Inishowen in recent years.
