There was one very special supporter in Carrick on Sunday last -the very first baby to sit in the newly won Sam Maguire.

Oisin Bonner was born in August last year eight weeks premature in an ambulance on way to LetterkennyGeneral and was delivered by Dr Evelyn Ward McManus ,the wife of the team doctor Charlie McManus.

Oisin spent four weeks in the neo-natal unit after which he was referred to Crumlin Children’s Hospital The toddler attended the All-Ireland banquet with his parents Eamonn and Caroline but had to leave the celebrations early for admission to Crumlin.

As is customary Sam always pays a visit to the hospital on the day after the All-Ireland, so Oisin had the experience of meeting some of the team with the cup.
