Maureen Gamble of Tulnaree, Carndonagh has won €32,400 on the National Lottery’s Winning Streak.
She appeared on the show last Saturday night, with her mother Jane and sister Jennifer there in the RTÉ studio cheer her on.
Maureen, who left Donegal Creameries last year after 20 years working as a milk woman, helps with the family farm. She gets great pleasure from the work, as she enjoys being outdoors and loves animals. Maureen keeps rare breeds of chickens as a hobby and also plays badminton.
She purchased the Scratch Card herself and was watching last week’s show with her mother and sister. She got a great shock at hearing her name but has always said she might be selected every time she has had posted tickets in!
Maureen says that her late father was always very lucky and she believes she inherited that trait from him.
Maureen has not given much thought as to what she will do with her winnings, but she would love to go on a holiday. She has relations living in Canada and Australia that she has never visited, so perhaps she will get to make her first visit to both countries.
