A 30-year-old Frosses man loses life in tragic collision
The 30-year-old local man who died on Saturday night in a two-vehicle collision at Brenter, Dunkineely on the main Donegal town to Killybegs road was named yesterday as Seamus McGroary from Frosses.

The 30-year-old local man who died on Saturday night in a two-vehicle collision at Brenter, Dunkineely on the main Donegal town to Killybegs road was named yesterday as Seamus McGroary from Frosses.

Gardaí in Donegal town confirmed that one man had died and another was injured after the collision which occurred at 10.35 pm on Saturday. A van, being driven by the deceased, and a car were involved in the collision. The 21-year-old male driver of the car, believed to be from Laghey, was removed to Sligo Regional Hospital where his injuries were said not to be life threatening.

Local residents said they heard sirens and saw blue flashing lights on both fire engines and Garda patrol cars at around 10.50 on Saturday night.

One local said, “We didn’t know exactly what was happening, but I have to say that the emergency services were on the scene very quickly. This is the second serious accident to take place there in recent times.”
