St. Eunan’s College qualify for All Ireland Team Maths finals
St. Eunan’s College, Letterkenny have qualified to go to University of Limerick on Saturday, April 13th April after winning the Irish Mathematics Teachers Association Team Maths competition in Donegal.

St. Eunan’s College, Letterkenny have qualified to go to University of Limerick on Saturday, April 13th April after winning the Irish Mathematics Teachers Association Team Maths competition in Donegal.

In all, 35 teams representing post-primary schools in Donegal converged on the Radison Hotel, Letterkenny to compete in the Donegal finals. Team Maths is a competition based on the Higher Level Project Mathematics Leaving Certificate course.

St. Eunan’s College enjoyed great success, finishing in 1st, 2nd, 4th and 6th places with Carndonagh C.S. winning the bronze medals in 3rd place. St. Eunan’s now go on the University of Limerick to compete in the All Ireland series.

The winning St. Eunan’s College team was Gearoid Mc Geehan (Captain), Liam Henry, Sean Blaney and Conor Mc Laughlin. The silver medalists were James Dorrian (Captain), Eoin Kelly, Thomas Matthew and Shaun Crossan. St. Eunan’s College teachers were Mr. Edward Harvey and Mr. Colm Mc Fadden.

The competition was organised by the Donegal Branch which included: Mr. Martin Gormley, Mr. Joe

English and Mrs Margaret Grindel.
