A sum of cash was taken from a Letterkenny shop following another armed robbery in the town on Sunday night.
Two men entered a shop at Killylastin, Glencar shortly after 9pm, armed with a shotgun and made off with cash.
The robbery follows two recent incidents in the town when a man armed with a knife entered two shops and in one premises, threatened a staff member before making off with a sum of money.
Local Town Councillor, Gerry McMonagle has condemned the latest incident and says anyone with information should contact gardai immediately.
“We now have people going into shops with shotguns to rob and they are subjecting staff and customers to an ordeal and as you can imagine, they are very traumatised by it,” he said.
“This escalation can’t be tolerated.”
