In many towns people come together throughout the year to plan all the activities which will take place during their festival time. These regional festivals are a central element of the cultural calendar for many communities.

“They bring people together to celebrate and showcase the best talents of their areas. Additionally, these regional festivals act as a magnet to bring visitors with similar interest from around the country and overseas to participate in large gatherings of like minded people who share common interests. Books, music, dance and food festivals all strive to have something for everyone”.

The festivals listed below will receive funding under this Regional Festival Funding Initiative through Fáilte Ireland.
