From back to front, all are stars!

The Mayor of Donegal, Cllr. Frank McBrearty on behalf of the elected members, staff and management of Donegal County Council has congratulated the eight players from the Donegal team who have won GAA GPA Football All-Star awards.

The Mayor of Donegal, Cllr. Frank McBrearty on behalf of the elected members, staff and management of Donegal County Council has congratulated the eight players from the Donegal team who have won GAA GPA Football All-Star awards.

The Mayor said, “To see the Donegal team represented in every line of the field from back to front shows the outstanding calibre of this Donegal All-Ireland winning team. These players have brought great joy and celebration to the county over the last number of months and it is great see their achievements both collectively and individually recognised in these awards”.

The Mayor had a special mention for Glenswilly man Neil Gallagher who works as a Technician in Water and Environment Services in Donegal County Council. “I would especially like to congratulate Neil Gallagher who is a member of staff with Donegal County Council.

“Like his team mates Neil is a deserving winner of this award and I know from talking to his colleagues and friends in the Council that everyone is very proud of him and of what he has achieved in 2012.”

The GPA/GAA All Stars will be broadcast live tonight on RTÉ 1 television from the National Convention Centre at 7pm.
