Donegal GAA took another giant step forward at Croke Park on Sunday when they took the scalp of the mighty Kerry.

The final margin of two points flattered Kerry as Donegal dominated them for long periods and led by six points at one stage.

The win has sent shock waves through the GAA world in Donegal and the dream of emulating the heroes of 1992 are beginning to take hold.

Jim McGuinness continues to rewrite the GAA history in Donegal. He has masterminded Donegal to successive Ulster titles and now to successive All-Ireland semi-finals. His championship success ratio is played 11, won 10, lost 1 - mind blowing!

Donegal now prepare to take on All-Ireland favourites, Cork, in the semi-final which will be back in Croke Park on Sunday, 26th August.

It’s 20 years since Donegal supporters got to taste the ultimate success of All-Ireland senior glory and this present bunch of players have taken giant steps on the ladder in just over 18 months.

They have improved with each game and the sky is the limit.
