Special Olympics Ireland is delighted to participate in this year’s Electric Ireland Charity Campaign entitledPowering Kindness.
During the week of Nov. 17th-23rd, Special Olympics Ireland is asking people to do something nice for someone else and then donate that act of kindness to Special Olympics Ireland.
Donegal All Ireland footballer David Walsh was among the first to do and bank an act of kindness for Special Olympics Ireland. He paid a visit to the athletes from Donegal Dynamos Special Olympics Club and let them have the chance to see and hold the coveted Sam Maguire cup.
Everyone can play their part and getting involved couldn’t be easier!
- Do something nice for your friend/family/colleagues – make a cup of tea, bring in your neighbour’s bins, tidy up after training, etc.
- Log onto www.poweringkindness.ie and donate your act to Special Olympics Ireland
- Spread the word about your deed and encourage all of your friends to do the same.
The campaign officially begins on Nov. 19th but you will be able to bank your deeds from Nov. 17th.
