See Thursday’s Donegal Democrat for an in-depth interview with Fr Ambrose Gorman of Kilmacrennan, Ballyshannon and Belleek.
Fr Ambrose will turn 100 on Saturday and there will be a special Mass at 3pm in St Patrick’s Church, Ballyshannon followed by a reception with tea and refreshments in Dorrian’s Hotel.
In his own words, Fr Ambrose has led “a long and happy life but not without its challenges”. He survived bombing raids in WWII, a plane crash and travelled to Croke Park in his 90s to see Donegal lift the Sam Maguire.
It’s a fascinating story, all in tomorrow’s Donegal Democrat.
