Two men have been charged with the murder of William McKeeney (57) in Glasgow.

Asif Rehman (20) and Adil Ishaq (19), both with addresses in Glasgow, appeared in Glasgow Sheriff Court today.

Neither man entered a plea or made any comment when the charges were read out.

Both were remanded in custody and are due to appear in court again next week.

William McKeeney was a lorry driver from Malin Head who moved to Glasgow five years ago.

His 38-year-old partner Anne-Marie watched helplessly from the couple’s flat as he was assaulted while returning home from a night out in the early hours of last Sunday.

Arrangements have not yet been made for the return of the remains to Donegal.
