A west Donegal man in his 40’s has been sent forward to stand trial for an alleged 174 sexual offences.
The man who cannot be named for legal reasons was presented with a book of evidence before Thursdays sitting of Letterkenny District Court.
Detective Garda Bosco Gallagher served the book to the accused following a lengthy garda investigation.
Judge Paul Kelly said the Director of Public Prosecution directed that the man be sent forward to stand trial in the current sittings of the Central Criminal Court in Dublin.
The charges of sexual assault, rape and indecent assault relate to seven individuals over a period from 1985 to the late 1990’s.
He was released on continuing bail.
