The gazette says that the extracts are taken from the Official Register of Judgements. This Register in some cases shows only the fact that the judgements have been registered and their publication does not imply liability to pay on the part of the parties named.

Many of the judgements have been paid or otherwise settled between the parties and as such do not appear on the Register unless and until a satisfaction piece has been filed or an order to vacate the registration has been made by the court and has been notified to the proper Officer. Registered judgements are not in all cases for debts due by the defendants personally.
