Council offers recycling for natural Christmas trees

Natural Christmas trees can be recycled free at Donegal County Council locations from now through the end of the month.

The council will accept natural trees for recycling until Jan. 31st at the Carndonagh, Letterkenny, Dungloe, Milford, Stranorlar and Laghey recycling centres; UDC offices in Buncrana; the county council chip depots in Moville, Newtowncunningham, and Coshclady, Bunbeg; the council machinery yard in Lifford; the council yard in Gortnamucklagh, Glenties; the Kilult quarry in Falcarragh; the council yards on Bridge Street, Killybegs, at the Rock, Ballyshannon and the seafront car park in Bundoran.

Trees may only be left at the specified locations during opening hours, which are listed on the Donegal County Council web site. Trees left at sites not on the list will be considered illegal dumping.
