Big Fight Night 2

Another arduous week was endured by our boxers as the training continued in Letterkenny Boxing Club. The tempo and the intensity of the work-outs is increasing but with the increased fitness levels already attained the suffering is not as obvious.

Another arduous week was endured by our boxers as the training continued in Letterkenny Boxing Club. The tempo and the intensity of the work-outs is increasing but with the increased fitness levels already attained the suffering is not as obvious.

A special word of thanks is due to Johnny McCullough, ably assisted by John Elliott, of Letterkenny Boxing Club for his expertise and encouragement. Congratulations are also extended to one of our sponsor’s -Mike’s Diner- which celebrated one year in business on September 28th. The highlight of the past week was the official presentation of one of our main sponsors - The Clanree Hotel - of a set of team vests for the big night. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to The Clanree Hotel’s management and staff for their statement of faith in us and their generosity of spirit towards the children under the care of Crumlin Childrens Hospital. Included is a photograph of the official presentation on Friday, September 30th, 2011 in The Clanree Hotel.

A very special word of appreciation is extended to two of our boxers, Mr. Eamon Kelly (Keltic Hygiene) and Mr. Tommy Hamlyn (Chef - Mr. Chippie Restaurant) who rearranged their busy schedule to attend. Both of these boxers have a very personal understanding of the special work done by Crumlins Children Hospital for sick children from Donegal. Mr Kelly is not only boxing but his company Keltic Hygiene is one of our biggest sponsors. Mr. Hamlyn said he was “privileged to take part in the event and I would do ten times more if I could”. His son Caolan attended and was included in the photograph as we feel he underlined the central focus of the charitable undertaking children. Well done Caolan!

Our printing of posters, sponsorship, cards, admission tickets and raffle tickets is almost complete and we wish to complement the staff of another of our sponsors Bizzprint for their professionalism, adaptability and superb product production, Truly the phrase “no problem too big, no detail to small” applies to this company and its staff.

We would finally take this opportunity to introduce you to another four of our boxers:
