Funeral of Ballintra accident victim

The funeral took place on Friday of the 38-year-old father of three who was killed in a road accident outside Ballintra last week.

Daithi White of Ballisodare, Sligo, had been taken to hospital after the accident on Monday week last but died in intensive care.

A married man with three children, he worked with Bulmers where he was a popular employee.

A huge attendance marked his funeral with Requiem Mass taking place in St. Brigid's Church, Ballisodare, celebrated by Fr. Thomas Towey. He was laid to rest in St. Nathy's cemetery at Colooney.

Among the mourners were his wife, Justyne, his three children, his parents, Joe and Maura, grandmother, three brothers and a sister, and other relatives and friends.
