Next week the impressive cliffs of Slieve League will play host to one of the most prestigious groups of visitors in many years as up on forty Rolls Royces will negotiate the winding bends of Teelin and Bunglas to take in one of the most impressive views in Ireland.

Next Monday the world’s best known cars will arrive in Donegal Town from England where they will be welcomed by the Mayor of Donegal Town Tom Conaghan and later will be on display on the Diamond in Donegal Town.

The Rolls Royce group is one of the most prestigious groups to visit the county this year and will use the nationally acclaimed Harvey’s Point as their base for their three day visit to the county.

Bord Failte spokesperson, Geraldine McGrath told the Donegal Democrat, “This is a very influential group and we are delighted that they have chosen Donegal as their ‘pied a terre’.

“The cars range as far back as 1927 to the present day and are some of the rarest in the world - obviously they are all in pristine condition.

“On Tuesday they will spend most of their day in the environs of Donegal Town - taking a trip out on the Donegal Waterbus, lunching in the Central Hotel and then a trip to Magee of Donegal.

“If you happen to meet the cavalcade on the road give them a good toot letting them all know that they are extremely welcome in Donegal.”
