The Letterkenny based convenience store which closed last week is to repen under new management.

Staff at the Oldtown Express shop at Lower Main Street were informed that the premises would be closing two weeks ago but yesterday it was confirmed that the store had been taken over by well known local businessman, Anthony Arthur.

It’s an appropriate move given that the new proprietor is a native of the St. Eunan’s Terrace area which is in close vicinity to the shop.

“We’ll be doing a range of different stuff under the new brand name, Checkout, but we’ll certainly still be a convenient store,” said Mr. Arthur who is a Director in the nearby Liberty Travel and Liberty Properties enterprise based in the Larkin House complex.

The shop is set to reopen again soon.
