Dungloe and Rossess walking weekend

The second walking weekend is taking place in Dungloe and the Rosses this weekend. It is a chance to experience the beauty of the area with guided walks by locals who are only too willing to share their passion for local history, wildlife, folklore and natural history.

The official opening takes place tomorrow at opening at Ionad Teampaill Chróine with St. Crona’s Junior band. On Saturday the strenuous walk is Augullies to Brockagh to Croveigh. The walk will bring you through some of the most beautiful mountainous scenery in Donegal.

The moderate walk is the Traigheanna Loop, a splendid walk on quiet country roads taking in the scenery of the area with a view of Traigheanna Bay along the way.

On Sunday the old railway walk will take you back to the past on the old railway line in Burtonport through quiet country roads and onto some of our idyllic beaches. the Radharc Na dTrá is a moderate walk will take in the Railway, down quiet country roads and home by the beach!
