It's going to be cold and miserable tonight with patches of rain and drizzle. Temperatures will drop to 8 or 9 degrees. It will be cloudy and overcast as the night progresses.
There should be a dry and cloudy start to New Year's Eve. However, there will be heavy showers tomorrow evening. Some of the showers will be wintry over higher ground.
