A fascinating exhbition by local artists continues at The Gallery, Cashel Glencolmcille, until Monday. The display of new work by members of the Meitheal Ealaíne Artists Group is always one of the highlights of the visual arts programme in the Donegal Bay and Blue Stacks Festival.

A fascinating exhbition by local artists continues at The Gallery, Cashel Glencolmcille, until Monday.

The display of new work by members of the Meitheal Ealaíne Artists Group is always one of the highlights of the visual arts programme in the Donegal Bay and Blue Stacks Festival.

Founder members Margaret Cunningham (tapestry weaving, felting / embroidery and painting) and Deborah Stockdale (art quilts) is showing their new and innovative textile work and paintings this year while Ana Stromberg is exhbiting new oil paintings and some of her recent watercolours.

As always, there is a great variety of styles as well as media, showcased by this group of highly talented, creative and vibrant group of artists.

These include portraits of musicians and atmospheric landscapes by photographer Rik Walton and new oil abstracts from Sean Maguire.

New abstracts in oil from Sean Maguire, landscapes and archectural oils and sketches from Adam McInture and acrylic and oil portraits from Ciaran McIntyre are also featured.

In addition, there are some truly remarkable paintings of Donegal boglands by Vice President of the Arts Society of Ulster Pamela Manson as well as drawings by Georgina Casey and landscapes of Glencolmcille and environs by Bennie McLaughlin.

The gallery is open daily from 1-6pm, and until 8pm on Sunday.
