Hope that greater numbers of tourist will visit the famed heritage site of Doe Castle, near Creeslough, as it is to be added as “a site to visit” tourism trial.

Hope that greater numbers of tourist will visit the famed heritage site of Doe Castle, near Creeslough, as it is to be added as “a site to visit” tourism trial.

Minister for the Office of Public Works Brian Hayes TD said that he wants Doe Castle to be ‘a site to visit’ on the Wild Atlantic Way tourism trail.

Minister Hayes also confirmed his Department’s interest in a Communities Initiative/Friends of Irish Heritage project at Doe Castle.

Commenting on the news Deputy Joe McHugh:“The Wild Atlantic Ways will be a tourist driving route/trail from Malin Head right down the west coast, similar to Route 66 in the USA and to Australia’s Great Ocean Road.”
