More than 770,000 household bills will be paid across the post office counter or online in Donegal this year as An Post rolls out its new online bill pay and budgeting service for customers - mybills.ie.
Already, more than 50,000 customers nationally have signed on for the mybills.ie service. The service enables customers to pay household bills online and at no extra cost from a comprehensive list of more than 100 bills (e.g. Electric Ireland, Bord Gáis, and Eircom).
mybills.ie is a unique, free service from An Post that allows customers to take control and manage their household bills online. Payments are simple and flexible with the facility to pay more than one bill at a time, choosing how much to pay off a bill at a time that’s convenient.
To assist in household budgeting there is a facility to automatically set dedicated amounts off regular bills each month, the user selects the date so there are no nasty surprises. Customers also can view reports and graphs of their bill payment history in order to better plan their household budgets.
An Post currently processes almost 25 million bill payment transactions through its network of almost 1,150 post offices and online. This year more than 770,000 bills will be paid in Donegal’s 79 An Post outlets and via the new mybills.ie service. The mybills.ie service now extends the range of options for customers in finding a useful means of controlling their finances.
