Glencolmcille is set to welcome Ireland’s newest ballad sensation, Na Fianna, next Sunday, August 7.
Na Fianna have been performing together since 2007, and shot to fame after the 2009 All Ireland Talent Show, when they finished second from over 6,000 competitors. The band comprises four members, Ross Hennessy from Kilkenny, Lee Campion, and brothers John and Damian Walsh, all from county Laois. The lads are all highly skilled musicians and powerful singers, and are noted for their energetic and passionate performances on stage. Over the past four years Na Fianna have travelled and played in many noted venues all over Ireland, and have also toured in the UK, France, Holland and Belgium. They are now under the management of Darren Farrell and have recently signed a recording contract with Dolphin Music Group. They will be appearing in Germany prior to their trip to Glencolmcille, and have a US tour planned for Autumn.
CLG Naomh Columba are proud to be in a position to host this fantastic band at Páirc na nGael, and are gearing up for a great night on Sunday. The event will take place in a large marquee, adjacent to the clubhouse. Na Fianna will take to the stage at 10pm, and will be followed by DJ Owen Doc on the decks. A cover charge of n10 will apply at the door and everyone is encouraged to come along early as a bumper crowd is expected.
