A vintage and classic car run around the roads of Donegal has raised valuable and much appreciated funds for the Donegal Hospice.
The Atlantic Coast Classic Car Club handed over a cheque to the value of €2.405 to Mary Service of the Donegal Hospice at a reception in their club headquarters at the Mill Park Hotel in Donegal Town.
This amount was raised by the club as a result of the PJ Treacy Memorial Run and Draw and follows in the tradition of former years in making a substantial contribution to locally based charities.
The club has listed as beneficiaries from it’s fundraising - The National Children’s Hospital, Parkinson’s Disease Society, The Donegal Youth Band, Barnesmore NS, St. Vincent de Paul and the Animals in Need Organisation and is especially proud of its record in ensuring that every cent raised goes to the nominated charity.
The club has also provided a display of members’ classic vehicles to help in the organisation of fundraising shows in Ardara, Ramelton, Ballintra, Ballyshannon, Donegal, and in other venues throughout the country with the PJ Treacy Memorial Run their principal event in a busy calendar.
