One of Ireland’s most exciting musicians is bringing his unique brand of traditional music to Letterkenny as part of a nationwide tour.

Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh is bringing his solo fiddle and film tour to the Regional Cultural Centre in Letterkenny on Saturday 11th October.

Known for his solo work, his collaborations and as a member of supergroup The Gloaming, Ó Raghallaigh is recognised as one of the most acclaimed and prolific traditional musicians of his generation.

In My Mind is a window into the world of music making, from a musician equally at home playing Sliabh Luchra slides as exploring contemporary musical landscapes.

Armed with his trusty 10-string “Hardanger d’Amore” fiddle and a film projector, Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh sets out to show the beauty, depth and humour of traditional Irish music in his own take on what makes it beautiful.

Making live music happen across the country, Music Network provides an opportunity to see some of the world’s foremost musicians at affordable prices, funded by the Arts Council.

As part of this tour, Music Network will also co-present workshops by Caoímhín with three music education partnerships: Donegal MEP, Music Generation Sligo and Music Generation Cork. Music Network is committed to connecting tours to music education programmes with the aim of giving children and young people rich, holistic musical experiences.

Start Time: 8pm. Tickets: €12/€10. Bookings: 074 9120777 (An Grianán)/www.regionalculturalcentre.com
