The 11th Borderline Arts and Cultural Festival will take place in the Termon Complex Pettigo on Saturday, December 6 and Sunday, December 7.
Organised by Borderline Players, the festival is an opportunity for young people to showcase their creative talents in speech and drama, song, traditional music, creative writing, art , photography and history competitions.
Siobhan O’Brien, Chairperson of Borderline Players, said she was delighted to bring the festival back to Pettigo, following a short break in 2013. Siobhan added that the facilities offered by the Termon Complex are perfect for the competitions.
The festival, which began as a 1 day speech and drama feis in 2002, has grown significantly over the past 12 years largely due to the support of schools across Fermanagh and Donegal.
Competitions are split in suitable age categories, from 4 to 18 years. The festival offers one of the biggest selection of prizes of any festival right across Ireland. Entries for speech, drama, music and song categories will be accepted up until the weekend of the festival but must be received by Friday, November 7 to be included in the festival programme. Deadline for all other entries is November 28.
