A Glenties based master Tai Chi instructor is preparing a series of demonstrations of the Chinese healing arts

in aid of a number of charities.

Charles Shovlin from Kilraine in Glenties who is a master instructor with the World Taiji Boxing Association(WTBA). Charles has a long history with the association going back to the early nineties and has received many qualifications over the years for his research, knowledge, dedication in promoting and fostering the oriental art of Taiji, also known as Tai Chi, and Qigong.

Charles career goes back over four decades in studying various styles of martial arts but he has always emphasise the healing properties of the arts he has spent a life time mastering.

A student of the late Erle Montaigue founder of the WTBA, Charles is well known as a healer, teacher and publish author on a number of books on Tai chi and Healing and people travel from all over Donegal, Ireland and indeed from parts of England and Scotland as well for his guidance, and healing.

He is currently working on a programme of demonstrations in aid of different charities,

He also runs classes on the health benefits of these ancient arts in Glenties Community Centre every Wednesday night at 8 o’clock to 9.30pm and everyone is welcome to come along.
