Coláiste Cholmcille’s Camp Rock: The Musical, which opens tonight, promises to be a show to remember.
It’s the perfect antidote to cold winter evenings. The show is full of excitement, great tunes and amazing local talent. It’s already looking to be as big a success as last year’s Abba Mia. So, if you’re thinking of going, don’t leave it too late, as the show finishes on Saturday night.
All of the leads - Ceolan McMullin, Megan McGroary, Kevin Kennedy and Aoibhinn Gallagher - do a great job and they are very well supported by a talented cast who are bursting with abilty.
In all, more than 100 students are involved with this amazing production.
This is a classic story of rivalry and power. Mitchie and her friends arrive at Camp Rock, ready to spend another summer jamming out and having the time of their lives. But the new, flashy Camp Star across the lake now threatens Camp Rock’s very existence.
To keep the doors open, Mitchie steps up, rallies her fellow Camp Rockers, and gets them into top shape for the ultimate showdown! A high energy show full of singers, actors and dancers and a must see for all the family.
The show has continued the school’s tradition of high quality productions brought to the stage by the dream team of producer Geraldine Diver, director Maura Logue, musical director Niamh Currid, and choreographer Julianne Murphy. The spectacular lighting in the show is by artistic director for the production, Art Kavanagh.
