Get ready for some rip roarin’ fun, as one of the most popular musicals of all time, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers comes to Ballyshannon.

The feel-good western set musical takes to the stage of the Abbey Arts Centre Tuesday, February 25 to Saturday, March 1 at 8.30pm.

This year’s show - directed by Ailis McIntyre supported by musical director Niamh Currid and choreographer Julie Anne Murphy - is sure to put ‘spring’ in to everyone’s step.

Set in Oregon in 1850, the show tells the story of Adam Pontipee who goes to town looking for a bride. He finds Milly working in a restaurant and convinces her to marry him. Milly’s ecstasy quickly sours when she finds she is to also take care of Adam’s six unkempt, burly brothers. Deciding to make the marriage work, Milly sets a plan into motion to marry off the brothers, including teaching them how to court girls.

The outstanding cast includes last year’s King of Siam Donagh Keon, Farrah Bogle of TG4’s Glor Tire fame in the lead roles.

Come along for a great night’s entertainment.
