Arts Round Up for the week ahead in the North West

There’s no shortage of gigs coming up this week in the North West. Here’s a snapshot of what you could be going to.

The East Meets West Donegal project host a free concert at The Balor, Ballybofey on Thursday night with comedian Kevin McAleer among the acts performing.

Elsewhere there’s musical nostalgia at The Millennium Forum in Derry with Showband Memories and the Andy Hines play Sea Lavender continues its run at The Playhouse, Deer – it’s there til Saturday.

Conal Gallen’s hit comedy A Bit On the Side is at An Grianan, Letterkenny for three nights – Friday 11th to Sunday 13th.

Also on Friday ex Supertramp guitarist Carl Verheyen is at McGrory’s in Culdaff, and Abba The Show is at The forum. On Friday there’s Murder At Skull Island – a murder mystery night at Ballybofey & Stranorlar Golf Club.

There are two excellent concerts on the Saturday - Duke Special is at The Millennium Forum, Derry and US country star Kimmie Rhodes is at The Balor Ballybofey. And on Sunday there’s A Tribute To The Legendary Noel McBride at The Millennium Forum in Derry.

Comedian Ger Carey presents his show for transition year students Observations From A Hedge at The Balor on Wednesday morning and From The Camp To The Creggan – a new comedy from the pen of Brian Foster who wrote The Butterfly of Killybegs and Maire A Woman of Derry – opens a four night run at The Millennium Forum, Derry.
