Tara O’Grady, the New York singer whose mum hails from near Mountcharles, plays her first Irish gig this month.

Tara who featured in the Danny Boy documentary on both RTÉ and BBC Monday night, performs at McDaid’s Wine Bar in Ramelton on Saturday week, November 23.

Declan McClafferty of In Their Thousands is backing, along with special guest musicians.

Tara’s set includes original songs - such as ‘Goodnight Nora’, about how her grandparents met at a dance in Donegal, and ‘November Moon’ which she wrote about her Mum leaving Gortward for the USA in 1957 - as well as her trademark swing tunes.

Doors open 8:30pm.
