La Fête Musique comes to Ballyshannon
The French national day of music will be celebrated in Ballyshannon this weekend as part of The Gathering.

The French national day of music will be celebrated in Ballyshannon this weekend as part of The Gathering.

A group of musicians from the French town of Montauban are visiting and a number of free events are taking place over the next few days.

Come along and learn about the rich shared history between Ballyshannon and France.

Ballyshannon Town Council will host a welcome reception for Tones and the Deputy Mayor of Montauban in the civic offices on Friday at 6pm.

The band (led by Ray Treacy of Garrison, who lives in Montauban) will perform a free concert on Friday night in Dicey Reilly’s to mark for La Fête Musique, and a second gig at the Bridgend Bar at 10 pm on Saturday.

There will also be a wine and cheese tasting reception on Saturday at 4pm at the Ballyshannon & District Museum in Slevins.

The weekend finishes with is a music session on Sunday afternoon in the Bridgend. All welcome.
