Ballyshannon Agricultural Show celebrates its 20th anniversary this Sunday, August 18.
The organisers want to encourage those who have attended in the past, either as visitors or exhibitos, and all those who have emigrated and returned to Donegal, to come along and enjoy this tremendous community event.
“It’s going to be a fantastic day, with many wonderful animals on display, including Irish draught horses, Connemara ponies, all breeds of sheep and poultry as well as pedigree and commercial cattle, which Donegal breeders are well renowned for throughout Ireland.”
There are always new ideas and dimensions to the show which is hosted at Tunney’s Field on the Donegal road, from 11am to 6pm.
This year, to mark the 20th anniversary, the show committee have really pushed out the boat on the entertainment front.
There will be a Show Dance with country star Declan Nerney and his band on Sunday night from 11pm in the show marquee. This promises to be a very popular and extremely enjoyable event - a great way to bring the day to a close!
