In the sheep classes dyed sheep are to be allowed in all the open classes for the first time for a number of years. However, dyed sheep are not being introduced in the confined classes, but this section will include a new class – the Best Pair of Scotch Mountain Ewe Hoggets - for mountain sheep confined to the Ardara area.

The cattle section also includes a new addition, the Best Home Bred Animal, excluding calves and pedigrees. Also for the first year there will be an award for the Best Male or Female Handler under 16 years.

Although the key attractions are still under discussion, there will be an exhibition depicting farming during the past 200 years.

While the show schedule will be published soon, it is planned to move the closing date for show catalogue entries forward to July 13th to ensure the catalogue is available for sale for a longer period before the show date. This year the show office will be at the old surgery building in West End, Ardara.
