The field committee, pupils, parents and staff of Glenswilly National School are delighted to announce that they will host the opening night of the Letterkenny pantomime society’s production of the iconic John B. Keane play “The Field” on Wednesday 12th September 2012.

The play will run for four nights only from Wednesday 12 to Saturday 12th September inclusive commencing nightly at 8pm. Ironically the Glenswilly committee are purchasing a field to be used by the school and all funds raised from this venture will go towards enhancing the facilities at the school. It is very appropriate therefore, that the pantomime society’s production of “The Field” should help in the purchase of another field. Hopefully there will be no Bull McCabe waving an ash plant around Glenswilly when the builders move in.

As well as helping our finances “The Field” will give us all an opportunity to indulge in the local drama scene, something which also deserves our support and something many of us seldom have the opportunity to do. All associated with Glenswilly N.S. are aware of the professional approach and attention to detail which the Letterkenny Pantomime Society are famed for and we are looking forward to welcoming you to what we are sure will be another memorable performance from this very talented group.

“We the members of the Glenswilly N.S. field committee look forward to your support and to welcoming you to this very special evening at An Grianan. Tickets for the opening night are available from members of the Glenswilly N.S. field committee and are priced at €15,” a committee member commented.

“On behalf of the parents and staff at Glenswilly National School we wish to thank the Pantomime Society for all their help and cooperation in this matter and we wish them every success with “The Field” and their future productions,” the spokesperson added. Tickets for the Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights are available from the box office at An Grianan or by telephone 0749120777 or on line at www.angrianan.com
