Music Network Presents, world-class British quintet Onyx Brass, at the Regional Cultural Centre, Letterkenny on Wednesday, April 18.

Prepare to be blown away by Onyx Brass, a world-class British quintet that has charmed audiences across Europe and America with its virtuosity, exuberance and on-stage banter.

Dubbed ‘easily the classiest brass ensemble in Britain’ by BBC Music magazine, the Onyx Brass ensemble has bedazzled audiences and critics alike all over Europe and the USA. Their mission: to present the brass quintet as a serious medium for chamber music, with a special interest in bringing new works to the widest possible audience. To that end, they have performed and recorded world premières by such musical big hitters as Jonathan Dove, Bob Chilcott, John McCabe, Judith Bingham and Michael Nyman.

The ensemble will perform a programme of classical favourites alongside new works by contemporary composers, as well as a new work commissioned for Onyx Brass by composer Andrew Hamilton.

Tickets priced €12 / €10 can be booked by calling 074 912 0777. This concert is promoted by Music Network and the Regional Cultural Centre.
