Tea, talks and good mental health in Ballyshannon

When it comes to all the recent doom and gloom hanging over the country this last couple of years – there is one thing above all else that will help us all to survive. It’s not Europe, its not politics and its not the bankers!

No, it’s something much more important - your own mental health.

“Most of us usually think of negative things when we hear the term Mental Health – just what comes to your mind?

“We find it easy to identify with our physical health – to own it and feel we can manage it. But this is not the case with our mental health,” said local Mental Health Ireland representative, Bill Vaughan.

Dorrian’s Hotel in Ballyshannon will host an evening of Positive Mental Health on Friday March 30th (7.p.m. to 10.p.m.) where patrons can learn all the answers as to why we can use positive mental health to literally change our own lives - and not sit around waiting for someone else to do it for us.

Speakers on the night will include Kahlil Thompson Coyle (See Change, Campaign Manager); Joseph Duffy, Headstrong/Jigsaw; Brian Howard, Mental Health Ireland; and Liam Quigley, Beacon (Northern Ireland).

This event is being organised by Ballyshannon/Bundoran Mental Health Association and admission is free. Tea and coffee will be served.
