The Northern Lights may be already making an appearance over some of the more northern areas around Inishowen but the stars are very much set to sparkle in Ballyshannon this weekend.

The Erneside town is all set to be entertained by some of its most talented local musicians and singers as the local Community Childcare Group prepares to stage their musical extravaganza in Dorrian’s Hotel on Saturday night next.

The “Stars in your Eyes” talent competition is a talent show where the contestants get the opportunity to appear and sing live as a famous singer.

Tanya O’Shea of the Saimer Childcare Group said,

“The show is most importantly a ‘soundalike’ show with all the acts dressed up as close as possible to the singers or groups they are impersonating- there will be a lot of wigs and make-up involved!

“It really promises to be a great night’s entertainment for a really great cause.”

The event at Dorrian’s Hotel on Saturday evening will be hosted by Noel Cunningham and the ever popular Rockhill Ramblers will provide the entertainment after the show.

A limited number of tickets are still available at Dorrian’s Hotel, Pearse O’Neill’s and Brian Campbell’s Butchers.
